Writing job ads that attract the right candidates
A good job ad does two things: it attracts the right people and helps the wrong ones decide not to apply. Both save you time.
Use a clear job title
Use the title people actually search for. "Customer Support Specialist" works better than "Customer Happiness Ninja".
Be specific about the role
- Describe the main responsibilities in a few short bullet points.
- Separate must-have skills from nice-to-have skills.
- Say where the job is based and whether remote work is possible.
Sell the job, too
Candidates are choosing you as much as you are choosing them. Share what makes your team a great place to work, and include a salary range if you can.
