How to write a CV that gets noticed
Recruiters often look at a CV for only a few seconds before deciding whether to read on. A clear, focused CV makes it easy for them to say yes.
Start with a short summary
Open with two or three sentences about who you are, what you are good at and the kind of role you want. Tailor it to each job.
Show results, not just duties
Instead of listing tasks, describe what you achieved. "Reduced support response time by 30%" says more than "Handled customer emails".
Keep it clean and short
- One or two pages is enough for most roles.
- Use a simple layout with clear headings.
- Check spelling and dates carefully before you send it.
